I have a slight grind/vibration from underneath while slowing down when driving. It only does it when I first let off the throttle. Also it doesn't make the grinding/vibrating noise when accelerating. You can only hear it when you first let off the throttle to slow down and just for a second. I was thinking either pinion angle or driveshaft. It has a 700r4 trans, Dana 60 front and 14 bolt rear with fairly new gears (I believe), also the driveshaft is a custom slightly longer one. Any ideas, I don't want to make matters worse.

Yeah similar, no noise under acceleration but when I let off the throttle and first hit the throttle, while cruising, not during acceleration from a stop. Driving home just now if I was cruising speed then slowly let off and at almost no throttle it also vibrates/grinds. Sounds awful. Not much play in driveshaft while sitting, thinking it might need a cv shaft.

86 K5, 4" springs and 6" shackles, roughly 7" of lift.

Yah your driveline angles are effed most likely.

The angle of the tail shaft on the t case should match the angle of the axle pinion. IF they are different you will get vibs.

Shackle flip im guessing since you said 6" shackles? Shackle flips point the axle up very dramatically.

That's the thing, the axle isn't pointed up, I didn't get an accurate measure but looking at it the pinion angles look fine.

Check the angles with an angle finder and post them. Its hard to spot a few degrees by eye.

Dueling is all over it.

Do you have a smart phone? If so you can download an app.

You spelled my name wrong.....

Lols. Yah you can get an app. It will prolly work well. I still like having a cheap gravity angle finder laying around. You know its always going to work.

Cracked flex plates like to make noise under acceleration and de-celeration. The bell housing sends the noise all over the vehicle like echoes in a canyon, and makes it hard to locate.
