I'm looking for a driveshaft for my k5 blazer with RWD !
It needs to fit a TH400 with a bolt on yoke ! Please tell me you can help

That will have to be a custom built unit. It will require a slip joint in the center if you are using the bolt on style fixed yoke. Call your local driveshaft shop and ask what dimensions they require and have it built.

Couldn't the bolt on yoke be removed and a slip yoke type drive shaft be used instead ?....a friend used a TH400 that had that bolt on yoke, from a P-30 step van, in his Olds Cutlass (that had a Chevy 350 in it) and did just that and it worked out fine...it would be easier to find a car or 2wd truck shaft and cut it if need be,much cheaper than a custom one..

Here, finding a good used drive shaft is next to impossible, ever since junkyards started using fork loaders to move vehicles off the trucks that hauled them in...nearly every one gets dented or buckled up..

You can remove the bolt on yoke and use a slip yoke but the yoke must be the type with a smooth inner bore before the spline due to the O-ring position on the output shaft of the trans.

and if the style of tail shaft is NOT setup for the o-ring then you will be leaking fluid out the slip yoke end plug vent hole. . . . fixed this problem for a friend .

and if you dont find a drive shaft shop listed call the BIG truck parts places . lots of them do drive shafts .

note pic posted . some are with/with out o-ring grove but same lengths and specs .

I wasn't aware of that!--I guess my friend got lucky with whatever slip yoke he used then, must have been the right style--it never leaked or gave any troubles...

I went to the Drive Shaft King.

They did some custom work for me and did it right. It was not too expensive either and only took a few hours.
