I am looking for some drivetrain lengths.I putting a 1 ton drivetrain in a '70 Jeepster.I have a 465 32spline output with a 205.This combo is pretty long.Like 42" from front of bellhousing to the rear output on the t-case.Thinking of trying to find a shorter combo.Anybody have any other trans t-case combo dimensions?

The 465 is actually a very short transmission, and loved for that attribute in jeep conversions. Typically the length is in the GM OEM adapters. You may need to go after-market to get a compact set up like you are looking for.

Most of those adapters run in the neighborhood of $500. Novak makes some of the shortest combinations I have seen, or Avanced Adapter.

Good Luck

I was thinking of selling the 32 spline 205 and finding a Dana 300.The adapter is about $560 for this and is only 3" long. Also thinking the 465 10 spline is shorter, correct? And yeah the stock adapter I have is 10 long!

The 420 is a little shorter than the 465. I'd keep the 205 - I assume it has a fixed rear yoke.

BTW - I wanna see pics of the Jeepster. Those jeeps are OK by me. :waytogo:
