More particularly, I degrees my engine most times when I'm done working on it. Well out here in rainlandia I end up with white milky driveway runoff and shiny rainbows after that.
I'm just waiting for someone to call the tree hugger police on me...
Purple power works great for those big stains, for a regular maintenence type thing I usually use laundry detergent or even dish soap that's good at breaking up GREASE. Spray it around, use the garden hose to wet the area alittle and then a shop broom all around scrubbing the area. You will always get the rainbow coloring when it rains, you're never going to get it all out of a concrete surface.
Usually comes pretty clean, and the more you do it and stay on top of keeping the area clean, the cleaner it will get over time too.
For wet cleanups I use cat litter, sawdust, or powdered detergent + Simple Green.
Once it set in it is another story.
When I was in the military base housing, any drops of oil, or stains were a huge deal. I tried laundry detergent, degreasers, gasoline etc to get the oil stains out to no avail. I tired "Pour-n-Restore" http://www.pour-n-restore.com/oilstain.htm, it works excellent, although it is very expensive....
