Just a census on what would be the most negative effect of driving 60 miles without the front driver side shocks. Basically I busted off the mount at BB08 and to get it to my friends house to repair it I would have to drive 60mi on the freeway. My other option is to have it towed. Just wondering opinions on if this would be a good idea. I know it wouldnt be good but just thinking maybe I can get away with it. Any ideas?

If you've got leaves in the front...I wouldn't worry about it. Coils, then have it towed. I drove without shocks for 3 months before I finally put some on. It almost rode better without them.:haha:

I had to do that. It was alright until I swerved, then it was kind of interesting. So watch out. :D But I didn't have ANY shocks on mine.

is this the guy that was in the cabin next to me? with the collapsing cab??
I think so, he was in a cabin and I think I remember him saying something about his cab.

I wouldn't worry about driving with 1 missing shock, might get scary with no shocks but just one should be fine

You wont hurt the spring pack one bit.

mine have been shot for a few months an im on coils, i use mine for limiting straps till i have time to redo the front end and get the coil overs on.:D

I can drive mine through canyons still and they are bone dry with bent shafts even, your added bonus is the leaf springs. adjust your driving and your fine.

took the trip and not too bad. just a bit dicey going to the one side and hitting a bump. got it welded up and nice to know the feeling that the shock actually do something. I can feel a difference.thanks for the input.
