my 85 k5 is going back together finally. i have a 4" tc lift in it with a 44/14ff combo and have heard of lowering the cross member. i was thinkn about taking some 1 inch solid square stock and making some blocks or maching a solid block to contour to the crossmember. my question is is it worth it or what do you guys suggest i believe there were lil round spacers there before but its been awhile since ive torn her down thanks

You don't want to drop the t-case, you lose clearance and your front driveshaft angle will be worse.

And the round spacers that were there stock actually went above the frame and not under it.

ok i wasent sure where they went im not to worried about clearence its not an off road toy so your saying just bolt the crossmember to the frame and call it a day

I lowered my the croosmember only, put some square tubing between the croosmember and the frame to avoid stress points and got some aluminum spacer on the t-cases mount so it stayed the same angle, my problem was that the d-shaft hit the croosmember.
