x2 on the clean up and then inspect it after you drive it to locate the wet spot. Reach your hand up around the top of the tranny tailshaft area and feel for a crack near adaptor. Could be gushing out there. I had to deal with this once so far and instead of dropping $500 on a new tranny I wish I would have made an "access panel" in the floor board and have someone weld it together. This is what mine looked like with the adaptor still on. You can see the crack in the housing under the top bolt. Good luck.
