Drug another CUCV out of the weeds.

DMV is requiring a Title from Washington State because it was stored there! CA DMV wants a certified weight slip, VIN verification from CHP (no cost). Oh, BTW, I would require a "one day moving permit" to get some of these requirements done. But Wait, there is more!!! I cannot get a permit unless I pay the $501 fee upfront!!! Uh, excuse me, but the military does not register/title their vehicles in any state nor do they title them by Federal standards. When was the last time you saw a convoy driving down the road and how many had license plates? I would not be surprised if Kalifornia started ticketing military vehicles in a convoy (or other) and asking for their insurance coverage too!

I paid city and state taxes on the vehicle because it was sold in Washington State to Washington state. CA DMV states that would be deducted from any taxes due to Kalifornia...Yeah...Right. This CV pandemic has most transactions going thru mail back and forth so I have not had any opportunity to discuss this with a live person...like that would do any good! Gotta make an "appointment" by phone. I spent the better part of one week trying to get thru which I finally did. The person stated that it would be "about 6 weeks" before an appointment is available and I gave them 4 offices close to me to choose from. Go Figure!

So, USPS is the courier for now and the beat goes on! Color me stressed out!!!
Yeah I an sitting on a couple of cars waiting to get registered, not really in a hurry because I have 5 other registered cars.

I'd have tried dressing up in full camo gear and drive it without plates,if the truck still has its camo paint job..
How many convoys or military vehicles do you see getting pulled over ?.....

@4X4ForDad idk if they can do it.... but AutoClub is the best. worth the annual fee just for DMV services

No! AAA washed their hands and sent me to CA DMV stating the DMV "has not authorized AAA to perform that task." I do have AAA for over 50 years and they are wonderful. I just got back from CA DMV after standing in line in 100* heat from the time I entered the line to the time I got called to the window was 3 1/2 hours!!! This F'n state sucks! OH, BTW, the paperwork they requested is NOT adequate for new registration! WTF?!?! Grrrrrrrrr!!! So now they want a new form 40 from the US Government and a statement of facts! And people wonder why DMV and the Socialist State of Kalifornia is so stupid and greedy.

ahh thats to bad about AAA. yeah I try to Avoid DMV. I have to drop off and get a receipt for my cdl medical every other year, I do that 1st thing in the morning and it usually winter time.
