Ok so I was at autozone the other day.... they had a battery isolator on clearance..

from $39.99 to $19.99
I know not great but hey... so I bought it...

now I could hook up my batteries in parallel like I was going to or use this isolator... now it is only a 90amp but i only have a 63amp alt...so I am fine there..

however with this winch (patriot 15k)... should I run 2 batteries for the winch and 1 on the other side of the isolator for the truck?????

whatcha think?

just looking into it... or just ditch the isolator and run parallel 2 batteries?

2 batteries will take a big load off the alt when winching. Try it with the isolater. If you have low voltage problems with it, you can always replace it with a continous duty solenoid. Three would probally be a pain in the a#@.
