dually owners question on rear fender light

Hi all I have a 97 dually I just bought and it needs a bulb socket with the 2 wire pigtail.That resides in the back dually fender.My local gm dealer said the socket+pigtail is FREAKIN $37.00 new.I'd try a local junk yard,but duallys just aren't in any yards around here.SO MY question is.Did GM use that bulb socket in more popular places in other trks,That way I could find one in a junk yard (yea and both dealers iI called couldn't/.wouldn't cross reference the part # for another app.
