dumb 10bolt question

i have a dumb question. i have a 8 lug 10bolt in my truck,i broke both shafts, i wasnt going to fix it because im building my 60 up but its gonna be winter soon and i dont wanna be stuck next to a minivan in the snow....sorry for the story. but i have a 6 lug 10 bolt i could rip apart,i searched but i couldnt find much about spline count. can somebody tell me if or what the difference in 6 lug 10 bolts and 8 lug 10 bolts are? i know theres 28 and 30 spline,but i dont no much else about these POS axles

Shouldnt be a difference. The 30spl/28 spl split is 88 and up.

o ok, thanks man, ill rip my stock 6 lug apart and check it out, mines an '89 blazer, hopefully the 8 lug i have in there now is a newer one also.
