Lock up usually refers to tourqe converter in autos.Unlock is when taking off,It allows slippage sort of like easing out on clutch.Lockup is when the fins inside converter lock together and don't allow slip.The imput {tranny} turns at same rate as motor,just like when clutch is fully engaged.Hope that makes sense. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif /forums/images/graemlins/truck.gifer on 38s /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
