I ordered a dash cover in dark blue for the suburban, and it is way too dark, almost a purple gray color. The light blue looked too light, so should I do the whole return business and pay the restocking fee or just dye/paint it a little lighter? And if painting it what should I use? I will drill out the extra speaker grille holes too so it may get some sanding.

If you haven't experimented yet (3.5 months later) I used Rustoleum fabric paint to do my dash/seats/console in tan. Those are plastic aren't they? Any interior paint will work, I used regular primer as well on the plastic parts to aid in coverage and longevity.

I ended up putting it in as it came, the color is off but I think it looks better than if I painted it and didn’t get a good finish.
