I have an 84 K5 with 14bff and i am tring to hook the existing ebrake cables to the old style backing plates on the rear end. First off i got the cables to fasten to the backing plate with a little help of a grinder. The spring is to short because its designed for a 10 bolt. Is there anyone out there who has been in this same problem will it work anyway or do you have to make some kind of spacer or something? I am planning on putting disc brakes on in the future but i am currently in the middle of a 465/205 swap and i need ebrakes.

Hey there,

I have two back plates with e-brake cables attached that I am selling. You can have the pair for $75.00 with shipping. I can get pics for you if you wish. I don't know how much to ship, but I can find out for you. They are a little heavy so expect somewhere around $30.00.

These back plates are off my 14B FF.

Thanks But i think i got mine to work i just got to do the other side now. Anyway Chevy changed the ebrake design form 73-83 are different from 83-91 or at least on the blazers so i dont think the backing plates you have will work.
