I believe it took 55 mins for me to get through lion's den.
'

Wrong it took 2 hours, we timed it. remember you cut down a sidewall in the process. Now saying that it took twice as long to get me off the mountain due to the tremendous exit at lions den :D

I won't know how long until I drive out the end again. How long did it take you and Jay? I can't go in April but.....maybe one of the later dates. I've got to do some work on my tow rig or find another way up there. Shhhhh, don't tell anyone but I've been working on my rig for the last two weeks......

First 2 weeks in 5 years :D

I've got a LOT to do......Going to try a do a little something every night after work and bigger things on the weekends.

sent you a message on Facebook old man.

I've got you beat...........:D

Holy shinkeys!

About the first time ever I can saw my rig is ready to go after I put a PS reservoir on it (ordered today) but can't bring it. I did ask my father in law if he wanted to get some seat time he could take it, pay for fuel, etc and I would ride :D

Scored some new but scratched during shipping Yukon hubs for $190 shipped today. Just need to order shafts for the front, front and rear lockers, steering arms, and diff covers.

Picked up a 32 spline sm465/np208 with hydro bell housing, pedals, salve, and clutch m/c. And all pieces for the bed for a good deal of $500... Ok so happy now lol

I have a chance to get a 97 NV4500 out of a Chevy 2500HD for dirt cheap. Now the true dilemma starts. I'm ordering 5.38s for the 14ff/60HP this weekend. Hopefully can find some sort of deal, as I just need rear gears only and bearings and seals plus thick gears because I have the 4.10 carrier, which is getting welded in the 60. Then I need to find some inner shafts. So now I am wondering to I use my 400 I just recently rebuild and have ready for the 203-205, or use the 4500. The crawl ratio would rock, and having OD has been a real big want for no real good reason. I have the complete front axle in and all new brakes on it, just waiting on the gears and shafts. The Yukons rock, but will definitely need some sort of PVC T tool. Slowly building momentum for this via hoarding parts and having no time to touch them. But the master plan is to make this trip somehow someway. Hopefully not as a shakedown trip.

I read a lot on pirate about them, seems if you oil the hubs and torque them to spec they turn a lot easier after you drive 20 feet or so in 2wd. I'll know more when get my 35 spline shafts. I'm hoping I'll have this all together before June but we shall see.

What tcase are you going to run behind the nv4500? If it's a 241, with 5.38s in the axles I think it won't be bad at all. Granted a little deeper would be better but it probably won't be all that bad. I'm not sure I'll have my black box (or magnum box) ain't decided yet which one I want to run) in before June, might just be the 10 spline 465/205 for now.

I will be using the 203-205 doubler I have that is almost finished. And if I use the 4500, I am just out a rebuilt again th400, and the 400-203 adapter. June is creeping up quicker than I wish, so I really need to get on the ball with this and buckle down.

I wish I had gone with an nv4500. I like the 465 but I drive a 6 spd every day so the 465 always feels horribly sloppy.

I really want the 4500 for two reasons. I want OD, 2100 at 60 with 39.5s would be amazing, and the ability to start with a dead battery or a faulty starter or basically anything. Plus I did sort of like the 465 when I drove one, I wont be driving this enough to get tired of pushing the clutch, like I am currently with my 5 speed S-10. So I am really considering this swap, and can sell my 400 for a few hundred bucks to a friend, and using that to buy the pedals which are difficult to find. Decisions decisions.

Pedals for a stick shift square body... I just so happen to be pulling a set here soon. Don't know how much it would be to ship them though.

I shipped a TBI 454 intake from STL to KC and it cost 25 bucks. She actually walked it into the Post Office without a box and they boxed it right there in the store.

There is a 87 k10 local to me that comes with a spare k30 frame, a decent bed and everything to redo the rockers.... I'm trying very hard to not go buy it lol.

The truck in my avatar has been sitting in storage for the last two to three years. It's about 90% done. Put it up for the winter one year and never got it back out. I guess three kids will do that to you. Sure have been thinking about getting it done lately. Maybe this is the motivational kick that is needed to get going again.

Well I just ordered my 5.38s for the HP60 and the 14FF, so making progress. Going to order the master rebuild kit for the front, and a mini install kit for the rear. Then atleast it can sit on all fours, with working brakes.

Some of you guys are getting serious.

I decided the other day to not sell my tow rig on the off chance I'll get to go to this.

Man, this thing has been torn down for 3 years now. Me and her have had it out one time in almost 4 years, and it broke. We both kind of have just had it with it sitting, and the "rents" house is maybe going to market, so got to get it mobile enough for a trip. Its just an eyesore sitting like a turtle with no legs. I just need the proper motivation to finish it. The local mud bogs and such just dont do it for me person wise, I would rather wheel and chat with someone who at the very least is half ass smart. Mud bogs tend to bring out the most derelict of the lifted truck guys, and while i love to watch said nitwits thrash their rides, I prefer not to park next to him with my tent and pound Keystone black cans all night.

I've always wanted to check out Harlan! I'd probably be in one of the easier trail groups since it's a 5 hour drive for me (EDIT: looks like that's not a valid reason- not near as long a commute as some of y'all, LOL!), my wheeler is my DD, and (this may be the biggest issue, IMHO) since my truck is a big heavy pig that would be really difficult to extricate if was broken on the trail! (also, along that lines, some trails it may not fit on period, I've had that be an issue elsewhere)
Umm.... that is if a Dodge can tag along.... I kinda don't have a trail capable GM product at the moment. '12 Power Wagon on 37s.
