As you may know, I am contemplating changing the dates and would like you input on this. If oyu have previously posted/voted in the other thread, please do so again in this one. It was suggested I put a new thread so I can maybe get some more numbers for this thing.

Hell or high water for me.

Just to get anyone that may be interested thinking about it, the wife and I are looking into renting one of the cabins up that way instead of dragging a pop up with us. If anyone might want to spit it with us be thinking about it and we can work it out after the dates are set.

That's a very possible plan. My wife will be about 7 months pregnant at the tiem and I don't think tent life will be the best...if she goes

If I finally figure out how to do it right my wife should be pregnant by then too. Knowing my luck with these fertility pills she’s on it’ll be twins or something but either way it may give you’re wife incentive to head up with you.
 
Hell or High water

Might want to rephrase that, me wife and I sent to Tellico back in late September this ear and it was closed due to the hurricane damage "High Water" . Not serious of course but we were disappointed.
 
I am headed up in Mid January to do a site reconassaince of the area and get some face time with some contacts I have been talking to and make sure everything goes off without a hitch. I will check it all out while there. Too bad I am taking the XJ and not the Jimmy.

Was jsut carousing the EAST OF THE MISSISSPPI post and there must have beem like 30 people saying they were coming. I see 11 so far and I know of one who hasn't posted up due to being out of the state. Come on people select a date on the poll so I can get some numbers, unless it was just the internet wheeler coming out in you..............

Can't we do it in the summer?

I trashed my junk all year long and I'm not sure I can have it in a condition that I'd want to bring it that soon.

That and I need to come up with $5000 and 6-9 weeks so I can order a new truck to pull mine down there.

And I just started a new job, not sure when I get any annual leave!

Damnit!!!!!!!! I do NOT want to miss this!
 
I would like it in the summer too. It's too close to Easter Jeep for me to do both. Still a hell of a long drive for me either way.

April is summer on this side of the US. :D Nice low/mid 80s instead of June-Aug high 90s.

13 votes, half way there. I'd like to see about 30 committed. Don't make me bring some extra K5s to fill the camp sites or even worse invite some J**pers. Come on people this is 4 months away and its only a long weekend.
 
thats true about the weather but tellico is high enough up were it doesnt get hot, I was there twice last year both in july and the average temp was in the high 70s
 
i'm with Tim, the summer would be better. if he gets the new truck, and i can come up with a trailer to haul 2 rigs, and finish mine, i'd be there.
 
I don't understand why you'd have a get together that soon. I'm getting cracking on my rig. June-July seems much better if you ask me.

I'm trying to figure out what I'm going to do, to get ready that quick, and I just don't see it happening.

I believe the idea is to have one get together in the spring and one in the fall so there is no chance they would interfere with each other.
