Echobit flip **SOLD**

If the middle of the h was a solid half circle w two holes, you could drill two through the stock hanger and bolt it there too.. If your really going to attempt it than that's defenatly worth a thread!

I contemplated on making these and selling them back out to the public where the echobit dude fell off the planet but for some reason life hasn't allowed me to follow thru with the dream.

If anyone else wants to have a shot at it, by all means go for it.

Well if you want do that, you need to modify, and my suggestion is to put thicker material, that was the biggest issue.
And see if you can make it with another attachment point.
The way it was secured was to fit inside the original hanger, and bolted in with one bolt, with the tolerances of manufacturing, some fit losely, some needed grinding to fit, and they were flimsy as a result.
I have an idea on how to make it better, but I don't have the tooling to do it.
But remember you NEED to make a change to be able to sell it, he made the design and you can't just copy it and sell it.:thumb:

Echobit screwed a bunch of people out of product never sent, while still collecting payment. I have a gut feeling he will not complain if someone was to copy the design and put into production. Though using the same idea but making it stronger would be the route to go.

I didnt go through and read this whole thread, but I have one of these on my shelf. After seeing them, I wouldnt ever use these. They appear weak and unstable. JMO. That said if some one wants them for a template, just PM me.

I wheeled my 78 hard with one of these for years and loved it. Plus you don't have to drop the tank to install it.

I got them in the mail yesterday. The driver for my fab shop just picked them up. I hope to have a quote back soon to replicate them and beef them up a bit. If its cost effective I'll be putting them back into production:waytogo:

I have the same flip brackets on pattern with Kert in his computer/files, as I was going to fab them for resale, too, so keep in mind that one day if I decide to pick up where Kert and I left off, I may mass produce these, too.

Only thing is, mine will be patterned almost identical as the echobits but slightly different. I've designed a way to make them stronger than their stock form right now.

Just don't take out a patent on them. :doah::D
