ECM BATT fuse?

So I'm replacing the fuse for the the fan and noticed a slot for ecm batt in the fuse panel. Do I need this fuse in there. This is an 84 blazer and I have swaped out the 305 to a 454. I bridged the wires to the dizzy to do away with the spark control. Don't remember ever taking this fuse out?

Don't need the computer on that year unless you're running the electronic distributor, or also some ran the electronic carbs as well. I bypassed all that stuff on an '84 Monte Carlo and just installed a regular vacuum advance style distributor. Ran like an older carb'd motor, just fine.
