I did the auto swap for a manual in a 73 Burb and hindsight being 20/20 it would have been cheaper to just rebuild the auto. I had the motor out and everything the fame may or may not have the holes for the bell crank thing and if not you have to drill them. The whole pedal assembly needs to be switched out which includes unbolting the brake booster. What do you do about the wires going to the 700R4 what about the computer what codes is it going to drop without the trans hooked up. $600- $700 is not alot of money for all that work. What about drivelines? Rarely made stick Suburbans can't go to junk yard and get a set. Costs are adding up. In my old age(37) I am starting to figure out that my time is worth alot more then I have been paying myself before.
