LOOOOOSSSSSSSER

Baily is cuter than you anyway and she helped Dave polish it. I am sure a hug from you is great Deano but a hug from my daughter will melt your heart!!!

hmmm, yeah she did help clean the bike Dean, and Eric is right, a hug from that little girl is better than a hug from an assless chap wearing brother from CK5.
I hope you don't milk the cows like that, unless of course Kris is into that sorta thing???

I thought he meant his chevy lol.

It's a 2500 "HD" I thought :haha:

Epic fail:doah:

well is says HD on the radiator support, but its just a Silverado 2500.
the same as a 1500HD in the 2001 and up.

not at this time, my grandaughter (8) has taken ownership of it by her own admission. I tried to tell her we should sell it now that we have the Maiden to play with, and she started crying...Papa you can't sell my Jeep...made me feel real bad for even suggesting it.

My daughter had her eye on my jeep wagoneer and I ended up selling it.
Needless to say she was crying for weeks until I promised she can have my corvair coupe.

I felt so bad too Issaam...she was heartborken when I said that toher.

My Dad bought and sold a lot of stuff when I was a kid. A bunch of Chevy trucks and other usually GM products, 68 camaro, 72 K5, 76 Burb, 78 K20w/ 38s and a 454, 77 K20, the list goes on. I remember a lot of them. I would always be dissapointed because he would buy them in rough shape, then after some TLC, sometimes new paint, and just when they were something you really liked he would sell them.

But I have to say, do you really think when your grand daughter gets to be 16 she is still going to want the Jeepster? I could see maybe if she was 14 or 15 already, but shes so young now the chances she will still want that after she grows up some more are pretty small I would think.

You never know.

My sister's step daughter was 8 when her dad promised to build her the 70 Chevy.
She turned 16 her mom didn't let her have it so now she is almost 18 and can't wait to get it even though it's still work in progress.

Yep I have a friend that promised his girl his 72 long bed pickup, nothing really special about it at all but when she got her drivers license she asked her Dad if the title was gonna be in her name or his name and when could she start driving it. Plus she asked about repainting and where she could get a job to earn the money to do so etc etc etc.

According to him she hadn't mentioned that truck in years but was always planning on it being hers.

The cool news is its well on its way to restoration now and she plans on giving it to her daughter :D Who is now 1 yr old

I know I sure wish I had some of my Dad's old cars and trucks, and even if she don't, I will, it was my Dad's that he bought in CO. He's had it since 93, and him and I have always had a auto connection....other brothers maybe guns, or tractors, whatever....for him and I it was gearhead stuff. So I'll probably keep it anyway, even if g/d doesn't want it. She has been playing in it since she was 2, so its a part of her life as long as she can remember. Its stupid simple to drive and I've put her in my lap and crawled around the back field letting her drive as long as she's been in it. We have a lot of memories with this Jeepster, I'm sure she'll remember.

She has said she wants to paint it purple:doah:....I told her OK, but I get to pick out the purple! She said she wants white wheels on it, not black, the tires she likes, she wants purple seatbelts.....hahaha, she is planning already!

Wow, what a difference a few years make….from sitting on my lap steering, to driving on her own…she has been doing that for 5 years now. She started shifting (all in low range because a T-86 sucks) and can start on a hill too. A little more finesse on the clutch though.
With everything thats going on, my granddaughter needed a little Jeepster therapy, so she decided to drive around the trails for a bit last night. It was good she said. She came across a big tree across the trail, so she had to back up, uphill for about 100’. That was different she said. It needed the exercise as much as she needed the therapy!

That’s cool. Buddy of mine in highschool built a jeepster commando with his dad. They put a Buick grand national turbo engine in it. Ended up on the cover of 4wheeler magazine. Had a switch pitch converter in it. Thing was badass!
