Did you see this thread? https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/tbi/557168-swap-7747-7060-a.html
Bunch of info about it.
Just did a cursory read over, sounds like the 7060 might be a bit of a redheaded step child? If that is the case, it may be better swapping to something better supported. At least if considering tuning, and if it's an easy swap.
This is what I have, I didn't remember it being that much.http://www.moates.net/apu1-autoprom-package-usb-version-p-54.html?cPath=95 I thought maybe the cable cost would cut that down a bit, but even at $55 it doesn't make a huge dent in that price.
You are correct about the 7060 ECM being a "Red Headed Step Child". I have done a lot of research on the 7060, and because it is such an odd-ball there is not a whole lot of info on it. Both Eagle Mark and Six_Shooter on Gear Head EFI had the most knowledge of this ECM. My 1991 V3500 Crew Cab Silverado came stock with the 5.7 / 4L80E / 205 / Dan-60 / Corp-14 Bolt combo and the 7060 ECM to control it. My 1991 V3500 is considered pretty rare because it is the one and only year GM truck that came with the 4L80E / 205 combo, thus I want to keep everything original, and only heat up the engine performance a little.
My new engine on the day I first fired it up.
