Pre gapped for a “ls” the parts counter guy say…..

Top of a single edge razor blade is .035, add or subtract as needed
It's alive. A lot of little stuff knocked out.
New carb. Mostly tuned.
Oil change.
New trans cooler line, so no more leak.
New plugs.
Plug wires cleaned up and mounted better.
Fluid checks and top off. Trans was 1.5 quarts low due to the leak.
New vacuum lines and rerouted.
AC ground fixed.
Temp sending unit wire fixed. Broke it changing plugs.
New air cleaner housing. Everything fits under the hood.

I consider that a part of the carb install. Just had to adjust it. I had to completely revamp the throttle linkage bracket.
Still tuning. Was way rich. Accelerator pump was way too agressive. I have to figure something out for the choke. Electric. Will be full on after sitting for 20 minutes.
Found this at 8:30 tonight.

Good catch!
I think it is ready. No more leaks. Went with 68 primary and 77 secondary jets. Readjusted the screws and accelerator pump. Seems good to go now.
How’s the elevation changes? Would it be smart to pack an assortment? That being said I would just drive it anyway…
You obviously have not been to the Midwest and south. 3000 feet is considered a mountain.
I even put a spare in it. Juniors car is donating it for the trip.
I have enough tools in rolls to do minor stuff. Anything major, it will get a trailer ride home.

I kind of figured you were not going to need it but might get an itch to do some fine tuning.
I probably have enough tools to swap heads in the parking lot and other minor stuff
