Elec Rad fan question

they'll both be the same, they arer under the thermostat... you can try the head one... is it 3/8 square drive or hex? they can be a b*tch...

you can get all kinds of angles for the waterneck, even swivels... make sure you do NOT use teflon tape on the switch. either dry, or with a smidge of thread sealent..

Right it needs to ground.
And its a squair hole, just like the diff (on mine anyway).I think Im gonna see if it will unscrew easy or not.

Make sure the "socket" that the wrench goes in is as clean as possible, so you can get as much surface area for the flats to bite on. If it won't come out relatively easily, try tightening it a hair, instead of just stripping it out the opposite direction.

Might try it with the engine up to operating temp as well, the heat MIGHT help, it certainly won't hurt to try.

I`ll remember that,Thanks for the info!!

:doah: I totally forgot about that. Thanks for saving me a ER visit.....They already know me by name.(no kiddding  )

That looks like a gauge sender to me. Switch should have locking connector provisions, two wire terminals.

There are some switches that only have one terminal, and just connect your wire to ground. That does look like a sender though. It *could* be a switch, but not likely. You'd have to have some specs for it, or throw an ohmmeter on it and boil it to know for sure.

Just wondering.I still havent had time to go to Vatozone.Mine is a big one by the water neck,on an Edelbrock Proformer RPM. Were going to have to play the matching game I bet.

Is it going to be a 1/2" hole? I`m looking online now.

Got a napa close by? Have them pull out their echlin catalog, it will have the wiring diagram for the switch, temp it operates at, thread info, you name it.

Late 80's early 90's TPI Camaro's likely used what you need.
