This is going on after I rebuild my transmission and get an actual exhaust system installed :)

fun! :D I thought about doing those when I put my current motor in but never did. I wish I had.

They're illegal most everywhere, but hey, I ain't sayin' nutin'!!! :wink1:
Plus they aren't obvious, unless open. I always wanted some myself!!! :D

Just curious but why do you want to run those? Wouldnt it hurt your low end torque because of not enough back pressure or are you doing it because it makes it sound cool?:D

I don't think low end torque is going to be a problem for Brandon.

I know he has a sweet caddy 500 but it will still hurt the torque a little.

doing it so I can be quiet around town and not draw unwanted attentino to myself, and be respectful in neighborhoods, but when i want it loud, i can just flip a switch. And if i go from 525lbs of tq to 500, i wont complain, lol

A buddy has those on his first gen(got his first bodydamage tonight) I just wish he had the motor to make them sound good.

my brother has an 05 hemi with work done to it, it sounds awesome when he opens both of his straight off his headers

how much were those n whered u get em?
id like to run a set on my 76 w/ a 400. would it work even if i still have the stock manifolds?
how hard would it be to make a set?

cutout it self (tube part) was like 25 bucks or something from summit, electric cutout was $50 from my brother, $100 new and you can adapt these to any system that has room

I'd kinda like to have a set of those as well.I'd pull up next to one of those little burners at a stoplight and instead of drowning their stereo out with my flowmasters I could open those puppies up and scare the **** out of 'em!
Someone post up and tell me wether or not they leak any or if the seal blows out or whatever other probs they might have.

I guess they have come way down in price. When I first saw them, a set was over 400.00

I had one for about 6 months until salt and moisture killed it. Was cool as hell though.

Thats the same ones that are on Copper Head. I believe they are from Dougs Headers

awesome! I love the idea of them! just gotta figure out a way to keep them dry/clean.....i doubt moisture/water/mud/dirt etc wouldnt' make them work so good.....

On a truck, the cable actuated ones might be a cheaper/more reliable solution for other ppl that don't alreay have one....

can you find cable ones anywhere for cheaper? 100 bucks for a pair is still a little pricy for me (17 yr old student w/ crappy job)

edit*** also with the cable one, if you pull to open.... how do u close it... most cables dont like pushing, jsut pulling.... im wondering if you have to climb under and do it urself..?
