electric fans

looking for alternative to spending 500 bucks when replacing electric fans.
read where a guy put this in his truck , dont see why it wouldnt work for a blazer

yup. Don’t even duck around with it. You can get brand new fans from rock auto for less than $100 that move like 2300cfm or some crazy amount. And fit like they were designed for it. I don’t think I had to trim the stock shroud at all to fit the radiator. Just same bent strap to mount and done.

I did trim the depth of my shroud a little because of the BBC serp setup made it a little close otherwise.

Test Results:
left fan: 340ml= 13.3inches
right fan: 390ml=15.3inches
left fan: 60.3cmm=2129.193cfm
right fan: 64.4cmm=2273.964cfm
this was rated at 1935 RPMS
4403.157 cfm total......

What's the stock mechanical fan rated at? Electric is nice for the control and losing the parasitic loss of the clutch but I've never had great luck with them keeping stuff as cool as the stock fan.

rig never had a stock fan when i got it it had a flex fan that sucked and i had the money so i spent it on a really good set of electric fans

Mine just had a pair of wires for each fan motor. I wired two 30 amp relays, two fuses and it's triggered by the EFI.

The three wire motor technically has a high and low setting. I don’t remember which is which but I just set the power to go to the high wire.
