Electric fuel pressure gauge? Does anyone make one?

That’s the one I have and using a carb.
Reads 5 psi at idle while my direct read gauge reads 6.
Can’t say which is more correct but the EDL mechanical pump I use is supposed to be 6 psi.
I've finally got around to installing mine. I'm getting no response on the gauge. Ran all new 14 gauge wire when it calls for 16 gauge. Have good connections at ground, power & light. Ordered a complete new unit and replace sender first=nothing. Then replaced gauge=nothing. This sucks as these units are not cheap. Maybe you can point out something I'm missing?

have you grounded the sender as it looks like its in rubber = not grounded . hose clamp and a ground wire on the sender should let you know if this is the problem.
I was just gonna say that. The sending unit is more than likely measuring resistance of something inside it. Needs a reference point, i.e. ground.

thats how i have fixed a lot of broken tab sending units the ground rusted off . hose clamp and wire with some beefy end crimped on it and clamp it to 1 of the hard lines on the sender .

:haha:
Yeah I'll try that. I did think about that but quickly dismissed it due to not on instructions

They assume that since the sending unit is supplied with NPT threads that you will connect a hard line that has a matching fitting like a hard line. And you know what happens when one ass-u-mes. :rotfl:

So I guess I can go ahead and, assume, that a sender with, two connections would be gooder.

That would cost like $0.05. Cheaper just to note in the instructions that it needs to have a ground, either by hardline or wire. Might want to notify Holley of that to help the next guy out.

Oh, and I must give credit to the late great Benny Hill for the ass-u-me joke.

good luck with this . they have known of a sensor problem for a few years on another popular kit they sell and still dont fix it and you are better off just buying a new one your self .

Possibly, but that would require manufacturing changes and possible retooling which is expensive. This is a simple documentation update.

I believe the "ass-u-me" skit was from "The Odd Couple" tv show..

Benny Hill's bald headed helper, painted "The rapist" on a door at a hospital, then Benny comes along, smacks him on the head, and "squeezes" the letters together--so they read "Therapist"...:haha:

I actually called Holley thinking the sender got fried wanting to order just the sender. It's why I ordered another kit from jegs. Holley was extremely and patiently and professionally, expertly even, unhelpful.

Maybe, but I learned it (among other things) from BH.
The Rapist was another good one. Damn I miss that show. Can’t find it anywhere.

Don’t know if I’m late to the party. But I
Got a a electric Stewart Warner gauge in the Beaumont. Wasn’t to spensive if I recall.
