so why does the dome light come on when i hit my horn? it also makes a funny buzzing noise..and the horn doesnt work?.....its an 83 k-30 crew cab...

I believe the horn and the cig lighter and the dome light is on the same fuse. You have a short some where.

Funny buzzing noise might be a defective horn relay.

I as well have the same problem with my '88 V-10(K-5please,lol) and have yet to track it down. I ran a new horn button to pass inspection, but now is time to track it down. Hope to have some new light shed on the subject. Will keep posted on finding the gremlin...
