Electrolysis Tank

I love purple power. Good shit! My Napa guy said it was the only thing that would get linseed oil overspray off the glass on his dad's cabin even beating brake clean.

Yeah it's good stuff , but it is caustic so really watch it on aluminum I left an intake manifold in a 50/50 mix for two days and it ruined it lol

This is the same method they use to reclaim stuff from shipwrecks like coins, and cannons, other metal objects...from what I gather, the current goes into the object to be de-rusted and flows towards the anodes, sort of like the opposite of welding, instead of depositing metal, your removing the corrosion and oxides from the inside out...
I bet it ends up cleaner than sandblasting, and without loss of any good metal..

As for the wire mesh cover, maybe plastic coated fence or some other non conductive stuff would have to be used so as not to short out across the anodes...
One guy on another forum found his cat dead in the tank he made and was using one morning, and he and his family was devastated, they had it for 12 years...:(
--evidently it climbed up on some stuff next to the tub and he doesn't know if it tried taking a drink, or fell in,and was either electrocuted or drowned..
The day after,he found a dead mouse floating in the tank,so he thought the cat may have been chasing it the day before, and it fell in,and the mouse got away..only the cat knows what really happened..

I was thinking wood lattice would be a good non conductive cover.

Not to get too far ahead of myself here, but combine the tank with either eastwood blackening oxide or zinc oxide(galvanizing) and you've got a pretty good system for parts protection. Something way better then painting.

I was amazed that I had not heard about this 15 years ago. It really is that simple.

I LOL about this. The first time I saw this was on the PowerBlock about 12 years ago.

I did a complete small block Chevy 400 work great. That had been sitting w/o heads.

It was the PITS when you had to click on user name to get it to work:D:D:D

Must have been some "IT" gremlin that made it work again, congrats to whom ever.

A quick video of caliper bracket. This is 6 hours from yesterday. I did not run it overnight.
