If you are using the stock cluster, the newer ones are arranged better, but have absolutely no provision for the factory tach small fuel gauge. The casting is entirely different in that location, and would require a lot of modification to get to work. Only real catch IMO, IF using the stock cluster.
You will do a fair amount of repinning of the cluster connector, but if you don't mind doing that and the small bit of figuring out what wire does what on your truck instrument panel connector now, it will indeed be easy, just a bit time consuming. Other than the speedo and clock, no functions really changed.
Oh, and the 4WD indicator light is also not a separate harness on the '90-91 clusters either, if that's important to you.
