Eliminating the spring of the spring and bushing?

Thoughts here? I'm not sure what to think of replacing the spring. I know there is also a guy on Pirate selling fabbed knuckles that replace both the spring and bushing with a bearing.

Now if they'd just make the bushes from something other than teflon. Oilite bronze or Acetal come to mind.
