I'm mounting a light on the exterior of the fiberglass shell. Two questions: I leveled the spot out, but in doing so I've taken off the gel coat in the area...Can I just seal that up with some additional resin to keep it from absorbing water? And second, I notice everything that is attached to the truck (mirrors, badging, door handles, etc) ususally has some sort of rubber/foam gasket under the item. What should I use to make a gasket like this for the light? Or do I even need one, can I just attach the back of the light to the fiberglass with nothing in between?
