so i failed to day just about the same readings man i lovethis state for being my 3 try they yanked my lisence /forums/images/graemlins/angryfire.gif
i think the cat is no good after driving a while the inlet was 375 and the outlet was 360 iirc they should be at least 100 degrees different /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif

they yank your license? what if you have another vehcle that is legal? S.O.L.?

yep they yanked and i have a 96 ranger that passes so now i can't even drive /forums/images/graemlins/angryfire.gif
i asked the guy how can i get to the place to retest and he told me to have someone else drive well dumb $ /forums/images/graemlins/angryfire.gif /forums/images/graemlins/screwy.gifhit if the plates are suspended to they will get a ticket i love stupid people

how do they yank your driver's license for not passing a smog test?

that is a vehicle code thing - they can suspend the plates, etc. - but the fact that you own a car that is not street legal in CA does NOT preclude you from driving in the state.

plus, i thought most of those smog checks were at the standalone shops - you bring/send your results to the DMV, they do not test themselves. i don't think those individual shops have any authority whatsoever, except to be certified in administering the smog test, and issuing the certificate...

or am i missing something..?

because it is part of the state they can do what ever they want i had my buddy check who is a cop and the status of my license is suspended. i talked to the state guy on the phone they are very rude but no matter what i told him about my other truck they didn't care no plates or lisecnse until it passes or take it completly off the road

i think i figured out the problem the op2 is in the collector and it isn't getting hot enough to put the truck in closed loop so the it is running on factory preset which is very rich i have to move the 02 and the cat closer to the headers. oh and i had 1 small vaccum leak but until i get my license back i can't even apply for the temp plate to test it again

if you don't want to move it, get a three wire heated o2 sensor, all it needs new is a key on 12v and a ground
