Got a little adjusting to do on the Alt bracket. Still have to build the tensioners for the alt and york but other than that they are in their respecitve places. Lots of little brackets and support braces. Power steering basically is modified factory brackets except for one. It was an interesting project to say the least.

Belts go,

Crank, water pump, power steering.

water pump, york.

power steering, alt.

Now i just pray everything clears the frame. If I measured correctly and didn't overlook anything it will all work out.

Looks good. I bet it was interesting getting all those brackets and pullies to line up.

Yeah, it was kinda difficult once I got down to the last one. I did the alt last as it was the least buried. I actually had planned to run the alt off the crank, water pump belt but with the power steering pump right there the belt wouldn't clear. I could have moved the power steering pump toward the block more but I really didn't want to alter the brackets that I had just made. They worked out so nice. The alt bracket was only partially complete so a little adjustment on it to move it back. Besides that, I think the alt will be more stable on a shorter bolt.

WTF kind of engine is that? Distributor in front? Doesn't Chrysler do that?

Re: Engine Accessories are all mounted finallly.

Looks good from here. Custom accessory bracketry is a huge PITA IMO.

So you decided to go ahead with the York setup.

I've grown to prefer the distributor at the front of the motor. Easier to mess with.

and that fits in the front of that narrowed front end /forums/images/graemlins/yikes.gif

No idea if it fits or not. I'll cross that bridge when I get there. /forums/images/graemlins/eek.gif

Yep, Krylon paint and after the poll the other day I decided to go ahead with the york. I have a small Air compressor that I can cannibalize for just about everything I need except a coalescing(sp?) filter. It's pretty much all finished except for the tensioners which I will hopefully have done tomorrow then I can snap a new shot of it complete. I ended up having to run the alternator off of the powersteering pump. I hope that works out. I can't see any reason it won't.

Well if it doesn't, you can always drop in a turbo'd cummins... /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

OK, its finished.

Belt tensioners are on.

Little clean up and paint when I tear it all back down.

I would like to see the york bracket without the york installed. I just can't picture how you have it mounted there and still rotate for the tensioner without getting loose /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif

I'll post up a pic in a little bit. Paint is drying on all the brackets now.

Looks good, Kert. Like the tensioners. What did the alternator orginially come on?

[/ QUOTE ]

Alternator is off of an F550 that was destined for rescue truck service. It was basically a take off. 205 amps was enough for that rescue truck.
