I have a 88 K5, and about 2 weeks ago I pulled in the driveway to run into my house and grab something. I came back out, and it wouldnt fire back up. I got it to crank, but never start up. I started fiddling around with starter fluid, and got it to fire up and start off the starter fluid for a couple seconds. I figured that meant it was getting no fuel, and figured I had a bad fuel pump, since those seem to go out like clock work. After dropping the tank, taking out the hanger and pump, and inspecting wires and connections everything seemed okay so I replaced just the sock filter, pump and rubber hose with a delphi pump and sock filter from NAPA. After getting it all put together, and replacing the inline filter, I gave her a shot but no start still. Im not sure if its still not getting gas, or if its a wiring issue. I do know that the battery is getting drained like crazy every time I go to start it though. Ive had to trickle charge plenty of times while trying to fix this issue.

Im guessing I prolly need to go back and check the wiring now, since I have spark and I should have fuel, but I figured theres prolly someone on here that knows more than me or has dealt with this problem before. Any and all help if appreciated.

There should be a fuel pump relay on the upper middle right of the fire wall. This relay might be the issue.
There is a red test wire in the loom at this relay. Provided a 30amp fused wire from battery to test wire your fuel pump should work.
Also check all your fuses.
