Engine crossmember/panhard kits

Wow you have no idea ive been looking for a kit like this all day and it was here on ck5 the whole time. I need one of these however due to the way the shocks were mounted to the axles im not sure if it will work without a shock mount relocate ... which i was considering doing anyway ill probably need to send you some pics to see if you think it will work or not.

I read all the threads concerning this product and there was some talk of relocating the point where you mount the bar to the axle to a custom u bolt bracket (over the leaf springs) have you done this yet?

anyway im 99% sure im ordering this from you do you have one ready to ship now or will you need time to fab one up?

Thanks let me know (i wont be able to send pics till tomorrow at the earliest as the blazer isnt at my house atm) Sorry forgot to mention dana 60 front axle

No, I haven't yet done anything serious yet, in regards to coming up with a spring plate/panhard mount combination. Still toying around with some ideas I have.

I usually build two or three crossmembers ahead of time, but build the lower mount specifically for the customers rig depending on steering arm, lift height, axle placement, etc. That said, at this point, I don't have one on the shelf ready to ship. I can usually get one on the way within a week.

Look for a PM.

Thanks, Dave

hey im interested in them, but will it work with reverse hi-steer? my tie-rod is above and behind. can you take some pics of them installed? i would be able to tell from pics

Should have some fresh photos very soon of one of the new design setups on Muddinmanny's truck.
Pray tell, where do you see Manny at that he knows about your 'members?

Whoa! Had me there for a moment!

What other "CK5" site is it? I don't frequent any others except for this one and Pirate.

I like the looks of that engine crossmember. I have a 72 with a big block swapped in and as part of my solution to it hitting the firewall, I am changing it over from the original 1972 350 crossmember to the 73-87 mounts and crossmember design. My question is, will this bolt into a 72 frame? I'm thinking it would, since a stock 73-87 crossmember will, but I wanted to see if you have ever checked, and what any complications would be. It mounts on the outside of the frame, right? instead of the inside (like stock) or bottom (like Offroad design)?

Even though I've not confirmed it, I'm doubtful that the crossmember would be a direct fit on the 1st gen frame. Since this thing wraps up around the outside of the frame rails, there's no allowances for any deviations in frame architecture, (if any?) between the 1st and 2nd gen trucks.

heres a pic of mine

Too bad - it looked like a quality product.

yea sad to see hopfully he is just having some problems or so forth and will return i think another member knows him and may chime in.
Guess some one hmhmhmhmhm like kirt should look into this maybe i think whit the link mounted on the spring plate and a quick disconect option and and a heavy duty motor mount and extra clerance for steering this thing would sell like hot cakes.
