Hello all,

I have an '87 K5. The original 305 was replace with a 350, but it still retains all of the original setup of the TBI.

A couple weeks ago I went to take off from a stop and it just sat there for almost 2 entire seconds before it would move. Then, I could give gas and it would also cut out for a couple seconds until I let up off the gas.

Now as I'm driving down the road at a constant speed, every once in a while it will sputter as though it's coughing. I also just BARELY failed emissions.

Is this something that is a typical problem that may have an easy answer. From what I know it could be vacuum leaks, EGR or maybe even the throttle body. My friend suggested it could be the Throttle Position Sensor.

Any help or others' experience would be greatly appreciated,
Brandon

Sounds good. I'm very ignorant of TBI or Fuel Injection or any type. How would I go about checking the fuel pressure on a TBI?

Thanks,
Brandon
