Engine Fan Blade Warning

Yes on both. The one currently on my Crawlabago also has a radiant style propane heater but the other two I have both have forced air propane heaters.
When the roof is extended on the camper are you able to stand in the back of the K5?

Yes but I'm a bit vertically challenged. 5'8"
I think @ZooMad75. has to duck a bit in his but he is a bit taller. 6'2" ish?
I’m 6’ tall and the nub of my hat just barely touches the roof if I really stretch out. I do have a 1/2” rubber bed mat on the floor that puts me a little closer too.

The thing on these, if I ever get around to making a taller canvas section I plan on pushing it higher by at least 10”. That gives more room in the cab over section and more open feeling when standing.

This thread is making my headed spin. Not sure if it clockwise or counterclockwise. Is that looking at the engine or sitting in the truck?

I stuck my finger over the back of my fan shroud in the old Monza once, and about broke my damn fingers :doah:.
I was trying to lean over the engine and look at something on the carb.
That's how I found out you gotta stick em in from the radiator side, or straight down from the top to cut em off.

lesson learned. Once and done lol.
Saw a guy at Penndot lean over a dump truck engine one time and the tails of his untucked uniform shit got wrapped in the belt, luckily someone shut the truck off before he got his junk eaten by the fan….also saw a fella kneeling behind a salt spreader stick his fingers over the edge….fingers and his arm were no match for hydraulics….sure makes you take notice of what you’re doing quick

I was working at a local junkyard in the very early 00's, my boss had that GM fan warning posted on the wall in the front office. It was for a specific part# fan too.

Anyone remember the Tom and Ray AKA "Click and Clack" Car Talk radio show? A person had called in saying that their Chevy's engine made a noise and then it ran very rough. They took it to a mechanic who spent a few minutes under the hood, then told them it was fixed and sent them on their way. It turned out, the fan lost a blade and the off-balance fan caused a bad vibration. All the mechanic did was remove another blade on the opposite to even it out.

*the above story may not have 100% correct details, it must have been in the early 90's so it's been a while.

I put new motor mounts in my Trans Am and it bumped the engine up, the fan cut a slot in the shroud.
