Is there a difference between a Suburban and pickup mount, the part that bolts to the block? I'm using an engine and mounts from a '90 V2500 in a '76 K10 frame. everything lines up, but the engine sits too high compared to the transmission. I'm using new polyurethane engine and transmission mounts. I have a 4* incline at the valve covers.

Iirc, there are 2wd vs 4wd differences as well as sbc vs bbc.

4° up at the engine side seems correct.

The center thru-bolt holes are about 1" farther away from the block on 4x4's,which does raise the engine up more...if you try using 2wd engine brackets the oil pan will likely hit the crossmember, and tilt the motor down at the front end...

I have swapped the 4x4 mounts off a small block to a 454 and the engine bolted right up no problem--far as I know they are the same, maybe the BBC ones "look" different, but end up fitting the same ?..never had an original BBC one to compare to..

Looking at that pic, I think they are installed incorrectly. Look at the cad plated tabs, they are supposed to tuck into the corners, so the upper part actually rests on the tabs. I've done a couple of those and they can be a pain. Hope that helps

I thoughts so too, but they won't work the other way. The tabs hit at the top before the center hole lines up, this is the only way they will fit on these brackets. On my crew cab they did fit the way you said, but not on these.

Ok. I think there was also a big block/small block difference or a year break. Last time I called Energy Suspension and I think I tried three different kits that they recommended. I forgot about that until reading your reply. Call their number and explain what's going on. I remember the last one I did was an 86 K10 and had same problem.
