Gentlemen, I need help in determining which one of these go where on my engine. These plates mount behind the motor mount bracket. It had been so long, I have no idea what goes where.

those were for brace rods back in the day to lower bellhousing . they were a great idea . but we have all found over the years to much stiffness can be a bad thing . so unless you want them for show there is no need to run that setup . if you skip them make sure the 3 bolts per side are not to long and bind up before tight . might need shorter .

and if you do run them they point down and to the back for the 1 single hole for each rod .

Thank you sir, you are correct the bolts are too long without them. Ask me how I know, lol.

Those plates, along with the rods and inspection cover, strengthen the automatic trans bell housing. Help make the engine and trans one unit.
If you have all the pieces use them.

1 other item if the plates are left out the engine sits lower in the mounts, when the mount wear/sag the balancer get very close to the front cross member. I have seen witness marks on the cross member on numerous trucks
