Engine Mounts

Hey Fellas!

The 4x4 chassis I just picked up didn't come with any engine mounts, will a set from a 2wd work?

Also, I heard that all 4x4s had the engine in the I-6 position, I'd like to move my engine to the V8 position for now, thats just one hole forwards right?

The 2wd mounts will work if they are from the same era and engine combo as your truck. The motor position is the same for both 2wd and 4x4 though.

Hmm, odd, I've heard it a lot that 4x4s were in the I6 position...

The motor mounts are from a 74 frame, and 80 engine, the 4x4 is a 79

73-up chevy engines same mounts

69-72 were all in 6 cyl position yeah but 73-up with the new longer wheelbase i dont know,

i think they fixed the problem for 73-up
