So, I may have in my possession soon a 2003 GMC Yukon with a 5.3 Vortec. It was rolled in Idaho when my brothers in-laws were travelling up this way for New Years. It has been well maintained and under 100k miles. I also have in my possession an 81 GMC Jimmy, with a dead 350. I wonder, what would it take to get the 5.3 into the Jimmy? Another question: If I use the auto, can it mate to the NP208 already in the old Jimmy? I know that the old stuff is all passenger side drop t-cases, and the new stuff is all drivers-side stuff, and I'm not too interested in swapping axles.
