Need a v belt power steering mount bracket for a 1985 k5 with sbc.

No my current bracket with ac will not tensions want to ditch ac pump and the 3 extra brackets.

Something quick and simple. What do I need.

Make one. Use the one you have. Cut off what you don't need and add what you do need. I built one for my brothers Buick odd fire in his Willys in about an hour.

The exhisting bracket is just a piece of junk. It needs all kinds of washers to make work even with the ac compressor.

Just want a quick easy bolt in fix

Somebody has got to make a quick and dirty mount with adjustment for cheap.

There's $150 billet brackets all day on eBay. Where's the steel ugly ones for $30?

My books are only for older trucks (up through '78.) Assuming your block is the same as mine, which I believe to be the case, you need GM parts 3941102 and 3941103.

One sits behind and below, to the block, towards the left as you face the pump (towards the inside of the truck.) The other allows for adjustment and bolts to the right side of the pump face (towards the outside of the truck.)

Googling those shows you

etc (those two happen to have pix, so that's why I linked them here.)

You may even be able to get them from your local Chevy dealer.

The third one that Wade linked to, I believe is GM 469599, but is no longer available from GM.

Again, not that you'd necessarily buy from there, but there's pix.

HTH.

I'll take pics. The whole setup was jerry rigged from before I even bought the blazer. Washers stacked all over etc.

I actually like v belts for the fact that if one part goes bad, you still have water pump. And can most likely make it a while longer. I don't like that with derp if you lose one your done

I lost a lot more v-belts in my day than serpentine belts. It is also very easy to carry one spare belt that is stupid simple to install.

True. I just wanted to find like a $20 stamped bracket to make mine work. If I gotta spend $100 I'll just pony up and get the new water pump and alt needed for serp.

Need to look into dremus links later.

I had difficulty finding the ones I needed new or aftermarket, so I just went to the pick and pull and scrounged around. Most yards will have at least a few square bodies.

I just don't think you are going to find a stamped steel cheap one in the after market. A used eBay one would probably be your best bet.
