Ever fixed up the K5 to much?

Very kind of you to install that tow bar for pulling Fords out of the mudpit backwards.

Wait! What top is that?!
Way cool.
The top is a custom job by the PO. Diamond plate top and tube steel frame. The bedsides in the interior are diamond tread as well. Pretty well done, actually.

That is the most bad a$$ half top i have ever seen.
I was thinking of going soft top this summer but you have inspired other ideas.

I have the exact same problem with my Stepside. I used to wheel it a lot so I kept modifying it to make it better, then it wasn't fun to drive on the street. So I decided to restore it. Now it's much nicer to drive on the street but too nice to wheel it hard. So now I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place with a very capable truck that I don't want to beat up. Now it only sees dirt on some local fire roads or the dunes when I make the road trip out to Michigan. I still have a lot of fun with it though.

Even though most of my GM trucks had some rot when I bought them, after I found out how hard it is to install new rockers, cab mounts, floors, etc, and do body work and paint --I wasn't willing to risk bashing them up off road...none of them were show winners,I just didn't care to ruin all the effort I put into them..

There are plenty of mud trucks and beaters up here for sale to thrash ,that is what I'd buy if I wanted to go wheeling..not use a daily driver..

Mines pretty Strait with the acception of the doors that are starting to check around locks etc. I catch a lot of hell when I wheel it or explain my plans make it a" go fast" blazer but that's what I bought it for. I grew up around show cars and it always bothered me the way they just sat between shows and sat at shows. I'm a firm believer that they are meant to be driven. Who cares about miles, that's like keeping your girlfriend tight for the next guy.

Nope. I'm fixing my rockers, some other rust spots, and painting mine. Then it will get a set of tons, lockers, and wheeled mildly, until the first dent. Then it will probably become a truggy.

Same thing happened with my yota. Went from a fairly nice 4x4 85 Xtra cab SR5 (toyota purists at dream) to the beat to hell truggy in my profile picture.

Now if I had a SUPER clean truck. She would be a pavement pounder.
