Thanks for the pic

That would be sweet! I may have to take you up on that offer, actually. I'm wanting to do this pretty soon and pictures are great, but only help so much. Do you have the tools to do it? Maybe I can tow the bitch down there and fund beer & pizza and you can let me borrow some of the tools (like an air chisel) to get the rivets out.

At any rate, I'll keep you posted.
yup got all the tools! i ground the rivets off( air chisel is too loud!):D

i went a different route with my front spring hanger. i moved it directly under the body mount. the PO cut then end of the frame off, so that made the spring hanger hang off the end of the frame.

with this setup it looks like the axle stays within a 1/2 inch of stock location. not sure yet cuz i dont have an axle under it yet, and the shackle angle looks pretty good but will look perfect when i have the motor and tranny back in.

(this picture is of the unfinished product, the finish product looks much safer)

now thats a good idea there, im deabting the 52" swap on mine, but i also drive mine on the street and have heard its VERY VERY unstreetable with 52's

There are plenty of folks street driving a 52 equipped rig. No idea where this "VERY VERY unstreetable" comes from.

on another board im on, many member did the swap and say that it is WAY to soft for DD, and there is too much body roll in the corners
