Exactly what year did GM switch to metric 8 lug wheels?

I assume they did it at the body style break in '07/'08 but I am not sure. My brother in law has a 2008 K2500 Duramax that he put an awful set of aftermarket wheels on. He is going to get rid of the really good looking OEM wheels that came on it. Stupid move I know, but I probably could have the wheels cheap. I am assuming they are the metric pattern though?

i think its was 10-11 mabye . my buddy had a 12 with new pattern.

should be 8x6.5 butt the ifs stuff is deeper backspacing also so watch out for clearence on older stuff.
 
They did it in the middle of a body style? That seems odd.

act we just had a 08 dmax in shop few weeks ago and i had older rims directly fit on it . minus calipers to big and had to run spacers to clear them. ( just roll around on truck )
 
It was 2011, although if you have an early 2011, it may have 2010 parts on it. Ask me how I know.
