I have my 383SP GM crate stroker 445 HP and 700R about ready to install and am wanting to add exhaust cut out or dumps to the system for a few reasons some of which are childish hell I am only 50 and others for performance at its best.
Are there any manual cut outs that don't require trusting an electric motor to open and close the gates? I feel like that motor with the heat in the area might be a constant source of maintenance?

So far this is the best I have found any opinions or better options will be appreciated. Thanks PG

I get why that might be fun. Might be a better investment to upgrade the rest of the exhaust

Have you picked out headers yet?

Everything I used to read indicated that regardless of brand, eventually they would all rust/corrode to the point of being hard to operate. It's been some time since I've seen reviews of them though, so perhaps things have changed.

If you want to run them, I'd think stainless would be a no-brainer to try and keep issues to a minimum. Still going to have them if you have things like carbon build up over time, but won't deal with rust nearly as bad with stainless.

The only ones I've seen last any amount of time were very expensive. Like 300 bucks or more, those we're all on weekend driven street cars.

IMHO on anything that will see water or mud ( dirt roads) it's not a good idea

^ yep the expensive (electric) ones work well on street driven rigs. Never seen a cable controlled valve worth a shit.
