Here is the list I have in my cart at summit. The plan is to build the exhaust from pre-bent pieces. The Y-pipe wil be 2 1/2" and the rest will be 3"

Let me know if I am forgetting anything, or could save a little money anywhere. This is going to kill my allowance for a while:eek1:

If they only made that with 3" pipe. And I wonder how it would fit the Hedman 69830's. They look to end a little higher and more forward of all the other long tube headers I have seen.

Wouldn't dual 2.5" be about the same as a single 3"? There is enough length in the kit to trim if needed to fit your headers. One thing I should mention though- this kit puts the tips right where you rear shackle flip is. I just cut mine and dumped them after the axle.

That would get rid of the headache of building a Y pipe. This is starting to sound like a great idea here.

How does the passenger side pipe route around the transfer case?

It goes up and over the cross member. I have the 465/205 on a K5 with 7" lift, flowtech headers- no fitment problems at all. Went in real nice. I will get some pics tonight and throw them up here.

car headers fit better

70 chevelle headers fit better than 4x4 headers the fit up tighter and clear the tcase x member better.

and Headman Eliete header coating is GARBAGE. it will be mess very fast if you mud whomp.... Dougs headers are worth EVERY penny fit IS allways top notch incl spark plug issues unlike cheapos like the Headmans, hookers and such.
Lemons and doug thourley are good as well

Oh make sure to find a crap set of 70 or so chevelles and test fit first.
Its been a long time since ive run a sbc. I have headman elietes on my bbc in my 72 and fit very well

sorry- can't find the camera.....

What area are you looking for to check your fuel filter clearance??

The area on hte passenger side where there is limited clearance between the transfer case and the frame rail. That is where my fuel filter is.

I have a set off my Chevelle that I will not be using in that car again so I can give it a whirl and let everyone know.

When I get home to my other computer I will shoot you the list of parts and part numbers I used for my 3" kit. It is single from the y-pipe back but I used all mandrel bends and it was from a universal flowmaster kit I just can't seem to find the part number.

One thing about going duals I am not sure how picky they would be if you intend to register in Cali when you move back out here. Just something to keep in mind. If keeping Mississippi plates it is obviously not an issue:D

dont know if this will help you but i bought pipes for a 02 camaro with the 3in ball flange, (walker pipes) they were 70. each, bolted right to the 3inch ball flange on the header (i have those headman long tubes also), they are bent perfect to go right infront and through the crossmember...if you wanted 2 you cut the length both the same enuf to get to the end of the cab or if blazer to almost a footor so past the crossmember then add mufflers , that gets you almost to the rear..and add dumps or another section of pipe out the side or out the back, what i did was bent em on 30 degrees at the end.........i have invested 140 in the camaro pipes 60 in flowmaster knockoffs and 2 pieces of 3inch pipe 8ft in length and use one and a half..they are about 55 bucks.....with hangers welded to pipe and bolted to the frame...280 bucks and all 3inch from motor back..........worked perfect, a little pipe expanding for muffs to fit but flows awesome...

Do you have any pics of that setup?

I am struggling to see how I could route the passenger side pipe so close to the fuel filter with it becoming a heat issue.

I'm surprised your fuel filter is that far forward. The filter on my K5 is almost at the back tire.

my truck isnt at home where i am, i keep it inside my friends garage. thats 15 miles away... you can turn the camaro pipes away from issues...mine is all on the red shortbed..let me see what i can do..i have no y pipes and a body lift but the pipe runs inside the frame rails and from the side you just see the bend by the header and the dumps at the end...ill see what i can do 4 ya it saved some cash and all 3inch...if you go to the parts store and look at the front pipes you will see how nice they are..
