Exhaust parts and routing (Updated list 11/19/08)

just looked all the pics all u see are the dumps....i wont get to the truck till sat when i convert my m1008 to 12volt.....is that 2 late..? only one i have thats bad is in my wheelin pics above the front shaft you can see the header pipe...

ok the year for the pipes...is 94 camaro i was wrong....ull see the pipe...advanced and autozone have it but is 100.00 here, thats way too much, ull see the ball flange end...walker and ap are all mandrel bent..on the net you can see the pipe... its way cheaper other places...mine was from parts plus... if you were lots closer id even do it for you and show u mine...

I cant find the power cord for my docking station so I can't get the accel file off of my other machine. However I did find my old exhaust post and the part numbers of the ball sockets and the mandrel bend kit are in post #20.

The socket # you already have but the mandrel bend kit might help you out and it is cheaper than individual bends. There are also finished pics of the install with routing.

Anyone have pics of how the exhaust could be routed past the transfer case? I found some searching here, but they were mainly doubler related.

Either that or a pic of the best way to route a Y pipe around the front shaft using the HED-69830's.

I don't really care if I have single or dual exhaust.

Also that universal 3" kit I got also came with hangers. They are a rod that fits in a rubber block that has its own bracket you weld on. There should be some pics of the hangers in my earlier link from my exhaust install.

i have knock off flowmasters they were 30 bucks each and look like em but are louder....

That is still way more than the kit I listed- but looks real nice. I can't believe that the flowmaster system comes without hangers and clamps!!

And by the way- my girl has the digital camera and she is out of town. I will post up pics this weekend when she gets back.

i bet you could buy and install the headers yourself, then take it to an exhaust shop and have it custom made for less then that.

I have a set off my Chevelle that I will not be using in that car again so I can give it a whirl and let everyone know.

I just was down to my Chevelle last night. I grabbed the headers and collectors. I do not know when I will get to it (other projects in the garage at the moment), but when I do, I will snap lots of pictures.

Not with mandrel bends. If they don't have a mandrel bender, which most don't have because they are mad expensive, the shop will be cutting up and welding pre-bent pieces just like he would be doing and the labor cost on that would be crazy.

My single 3" that I put together from the Y back was around $380 and he has headers and Y-pipe material in his figures too. That is not really a bad # all in all. I also dumped 600 on a welder too so I could weld it all up.

Hey Brian, do you think you will have any issues getting plates here or you just gonna play dumb and "I bought it that way"

Dik

Made a mistake mine was $278 and change for single 3" from the Y back with a super 40 and a high flow stainless cat. Single 3" is def cheaper but with full length headers the Y is tricky as you have found out.

here is what I have on my truck, I put it on 4 years ago and never have had a problem with it. I know its not 2.5 but its not going to make a difference on a 4x4.

I just don't see spending $300 or $400 dollars on an exhaust on my trail truck, just my .02

Ive got around $175 bucks in my exhaust, got the headers for free and im running glasspacks for mufflers:D
