It's all 1.75x.125 wall 1025 DOM. Hard as hell to bend... I think I'm loosing weight. :D

Thers gonna be a couple windshield bars, some more stuff inside the cab, and various tube gusets on the front. Prolly some kind of protection for the radiator.

We're still tossing ideas around for how to do the back half of the truck... Thats the reason for the odd looking joint at the rear of the cab roof. more pictures in a few days. :)

Moved for ya Joe.

You thinking of a bolt in brace from the rad area to the firewall/cowl bar maybe? Looks really good so far!! I like it. :)

What are you going to do for a hood? anything? What about some radiator protection? the rest looks good!

Almost certain there won't be a hood of any kind. Perhaps some pinned on sheetmetal down the road. Radiator protection is in the works like I mentioned in first post, just not sure how yet.

Thanks for the move Rene.

Whats your idea behind a bar from radiator to cowl? I thought maybe an unboltable bar accross the top of the engine from side to side... Dunno bout one like you describe thoguh, don't ya think that might look alittle goofy?

Maybe i'm thinking overkill, but being braced over the engine from front to the cowl would really go a long way to making the front of the frame as rigid as you can.

A hard landing under the winch area could lead to a frame bend right behind your steering box. I think the bolt in bracing would make it better triangulated...although admittedly I'm only looking at pic's and don't have the truck in front of me like you do.

An 'X' brace would look cool as well as be strong as hell...

looking good. Turn them to parallel verticals at the b pillar into a ladder for roof top access!

An "X" brace where?

Llol, well there's gonna be one horizontal bar between the two verticles....Almost a ladder I guess.. :)

I had it all drawn up but i cant post the picture for some reason, but i think what he is talking about is a "X" from the top of the rad support edges to back toward the firewell where the 90 degree angle is at the edges
if that ,makes any sence
bascally an "X" over the engine if you were looking down on it

Quick chop in paint is worth a thousand words...

Obviously it would need to be bolt in...
