Experience With 4 Wheel Parts?

Its common knoweledge they are crap. Sure there alot of no problem buys from them, not EVERY 4 wheel parts store is REALLY bad. BUT, ALOT of them are. You guys that have good luck and no problems, cool, good for you, thats the way its suposed to be, But many people have gotton screwed by them.

I still buy there from time to time and I sued them once and won. Yes Im talking the owner him self of 4 wheel parts, George Apler. He would not honor a written warenty HE offered me so I took him to court and won. I wanted the parts he promised me for the price we agreed on IN WRITING. When it came time to do the deal he renigged, Well he paid in the end, I got all the parts at cost and walked with parts for free because he and his manager could not do the math. :D

I made a thread about it along time ago, Its a LONG READ but I can give the link to it if anyone is interested.

The only thing I'll buy from them is tires & wheels, and only because they're 4 miles from Home. Even then I have to watch every move. I bought a set of tires & wheels once; they said they would be ready after lunch. One was balanced. I had to take them all back. What's really the pisser is they start with an attitude of, you're full of it.
They don't know technical jack, but they think they do.
I would never mail order from them.

I've bought wheels and tires from 4 wheel parts before and to be honest, as long as you go in the store you'll be fine. It's the mail order that I've always had problems with. Sometimes they've taken care of the issue but othertimes not. In the future I will not be using them again but you should be okay if you go in the store.

I've heard the horror stories but they're not all that bad...
I have one like 5 minutes from my house and I go in pretty often for stuff like straps, hi-lift, tire deflators, basically general accessories...
They've always been pretty cool and have never given me any greif when I need to order stuff that they didn't have in stock.

Something I've learned is you basically get what you want if you do your homework before you go in... know about what you want to buy and know about what it'll cost and you won't have any problems...
